These stoles are made by a cooperative of Mayan Tzutujil men weavers in Santiago Atitlan, Guatemala. It takes one weaver 3 days of working 8 hours a day to complete one stole. Through the formation of the cooperative they now receive a fair price for their work. The weavers in the village are indigenous Mayans who still wear their traditional trajes and speak their native Tzutujil. Stoles come in green, white, purple, red, multi-color and rainbow. Unlike some similiar Guatmealan stoles, the designs in these stoles are all beautifully executed.
