Chichicastenango Corte -  Guatemala

28 1/2"  x  110"(over 9 ft.) if opened at seam

1990's corte woven on a foot loom and adorned with a decorative randa.  This is a very unique fabric with very intricate jaspe design as well as quetzals and animals woven into the fabric.  Predominant color is black.  Fabric is soft due to age.  There are a few loose threads in the randa but otherwise this great corte is in excellent shape.
